With ten waves breaking continuously, the Liquid Time Wave Pool will provide 600 ride-seconds per minute. This equates to 10 surfers riding for 60 seconds per minute, or 20 surfers for 30 seconds per minute. Give that surfers would need to rest between rides the Liquid Time Wave Pool could provide enough rides to satisfy as many as 100 surfers per hour, each surfer having the opportunity to ride 12 waves of 30 seconds duration with 4.5 minutes rest between rides.
Attendance fees
At $30 per surfer per hour gross income would be $30,000 per 10 hour day. Including night surfing, 20 hours of operation could generate $60,000 per day, 365 days a year.
Retail leases
Situated in the middle of the pool, the island could serve as a unique meeting place with potential for retail services. Since the island could potentially accommodate 50 frontages each paying $5000 per week, leases could earn many times that generated by wave pool attendance.
Property values
If property values at famous surf breaks are any indication, the property surrounding a Liquid Time Wave Pool would increase in value. Depending on the location and scale of the development, the value added to the surrounding land could return many times the cost of building the facility.
